A very successful concert was presented on 1-11-15 at our rehearsal hall, Congregation Beth Shalom (CBS), in Modesto. The tickets were sold out and so many attended that it was standing room only!

We presented "A Capsule of Irving Berlin", highlighting his accomplishments and career as a major contributor to the genre of American Music. Rabbi Susan Leider narrated and sang some of Berlin's well known numbers, accompanied by pianist, Dan Warschauer, as Irving Berlin.  Chapter Four Quartet also sang one of Berlin's ballads.

The chorus shared the stage with our local Men's Chorus, The Golden Valley Chorus, and Velocity Quartet. A rousing finale included two 8-part songs, performed by the combined men and women's choruses.

We enjoyed a delicious supper of chili, cornbread, salad, and desserts at the afterglow, prepared by women from CBS at the afterglow. There was a sing-a-long following the supper and another performance by Velocity Quartet.
