RIVER LIGHTS CHORUS is a group of talented women committed to perfecting the musical art form of 4-part harmony through performances and education. The chorus provides a warm community where creativity, leadership and musicianship skills can be practiced and mastered. River Lights Chorus is affiliated with the largest women's singing organization in the world - SingUnited International.

We are a welcoming chorus for women of all ages who share a love of singing and performing a cappella barbershop harmony. Based in California’s beautiful Central Valley, we bring music, friendship, and fun together through four-part harmony.

Barbershop harmony is a unique style of unaccompanied singing in which four voice parts blend to create rich, ringing chords. The lead sings the melody, while the tenor harmonizes above it. The bass provides the foundation with the lowest notes, and the baritone fills in the remaining harmony notes above or below the melody. Together, these four parts create the vibrant, full sound that makes barbershop music so distinctive and enjoyable to sing and hear.
